In this age group, we must assess your child as soon as concerns are present. We need to identify your child’s specific needs with a well-formulated treatment plan. This allows us to target the root cause of any concerns, leading to a more accurate diagnosis and implementing effective treatment strategies. Early intervention is critical to preventing functional problems now and in the future.

This is the first step for all new clients, even those referred by another specialist. During your Discovery Consultation, we talk through your specific concerns, review your symptoms, and explain how we can help address them. It's how we make sure we're the right fit for your needs and that you understand our approach before starting.

Myo Intake

Discovery Consultation

This is where we collect the baseline information we use to track your progress: photos, measurements, and assessments of oral function, swallow function, eating, and drinking. The Myo Intake is for clients who are ready to begin and don't have remaining questions about our process or approach. Because this appointment is dedicated entirely to data collection, there isn't time to answer questions or give detailed explanations; that's what the Discovery Consultation is for. You may leave with a few starter exercises to begin at home.

Follow Ups

Phase Checks

After your Myo Intake, these sessions are dedicated to teaching the exercises and techniques you'll practice at home. This is where the real work begins.

You'll need a Myo Intake before starting Follow Ups.

Current client booking

Phase Checks

Periodically, we redo the photos, measurements, and oral, swallow, eating, and drinking assessments from your Myo Intake. This lets us compare against your baseline, see what's working, and set the next steps in your plan.

After a handful of follow-ups, we'll do a Phase Check.
